Ride Like The Wind

My older sister still tells of the time when I put a towel as a cape, jumped off a bed at my Grandmother’s and fell on my head because I wanted to fly, yeah child genius right.
I have always loved flying, not so much the tension of hoping for a smooth landing, but the feeling of weightlessness when riding in balloons, parasailing, roller coasters, helicopters, small planes and jumbo jets. It makes me smile and sometimes laugh hysterically, depending on the speed and crazyness of those operating the vehicle. I once took a ride across Lake Mead in a speed boat as I held on for dear life and couldn’t turn my face if I wanted to as I watched the gauges on the giant engine reach 90mph. What a rush! I love the wind upon my face and as far back as I can remember, my bike was my best friend and it was just natural for me to take to motorcycles. When I was about 11 we began to ride at the dry lakes outside of Vegas and we had 2 nifty little Yamaha bikes called Chappy that were more like a moped and only went 35mph at max speed with 3 gears. Later we could ride the larger and faster dirt bikes but the Chappy was still a favorite. I haven’t driven a motorcycle in years but on occasion ride with the only 2 people I trust as they have both been racers most of their lives, Juppy in London and Buddah here in LA and I jump at the chance to hit the road and have the wind in my hair (tangles to rip out later) and smile on my face! (always remember to close visor off to bugs) Here are a couple new pictures of bikes I quite fancy. The uber cool crochet bike Ellen emailed me and an army bike with sidecar. I can just see me and my cats in their little goggles just cruising the hood in this one, yeah everyone will stop and stare at Petsmart! Weeeee
